Students complete a hands-on internship paired with a scientist mentor at a local biotechnology company, a governmental lab or research facility. They become experts in a very specialized area of study and complete a year long project that will be presented in a variety of venues.
Students work at least 8-10 hours per week; 3-4 days a week At least one day a week students attend ARL and are given support and assignments here. Transportation is not provided and internship placements can be limited. Students who cannot be placed with off-campus internships for any reason have an excellent on-campus option with a more broad curriculum. |
